This is a real session recorded by the FL-Racing Dash — twenty minutes, 6,000 samples — opened in the KDCAN Log Viewer. It is not a simulation nor a cut-down version: it is exactly the same tool, running the same code, that you will find in your private area after buying the dash. The only difference is that here the session is already loaded and you cannot open your own files.
With the FL-Racing Dash you receive your personal username and serial, delivered together with the product.
On this site you enter the serial, choose your password and the private area is yours.
The dash uploads your sessions by itself as soon as it finds Wi-Fi: in your private area the last 100 are already there, ready to open from PC, tablet or phone. In your own area you can also open a file by hand: not here in the demo, where the session is fixed.
Note: the viewer only accepts log files generated by the logger built into the FL-Racing Dash. It is not a generic file analyser: it is the analysis tool of the FL-Racing system.
Thresholds and alarms. On the dash you set a minimum and a maximum for each parameter — here coolant 60–105 °C, oil max 110 °C, oil pressure minimum 1.0 bar — and the logger writes on every row which alarms were active at that instant. On the chart you see them as red bands on the trace, with the dashed threshold line, and summarised in the table below.
Look at the oil pressure. In this session it dropped below the threshold for six tenths of a second, twelve minutes in. A dip that short you do not notice while driving, and you will not find it in a list of values. The dash's «Hold» keeps the alarm lit even after the value is back to normal, so you find it again in the pits: from then on it stays active for the remaining 465 seconds. That is why the summary keeps time out of range — how long the engine was actually over — separate from time with alarm active: they are two different facts, and confusing them would mean reading eight minutes of trouble where there was half a second.
The session starts with a cold engine, coolant below 60 °C: that is an alarm too, and it is why the first red band begins at second zero.
